WHAT IS THE NATIONAL
ACADEMY LEAGUE?

The National Academy League (NAL) is a high-level boys soccer platform designed for top clubs and players across the United States. This is the platform the CU top U11 and U12 teams compete in. The NAL offers elite competition, advanced development, and a clear pathway to college soccer. The league is built on high standards and a commitment to excellence on and off the field.

HISTORY OF THE
NATIONAL ACADEMY LEAGUE

The NAL was created by MLS NEXT member clubs and top independent academies seeking meaningful competition beyond the traditional league structure. It launched to give players a professional-level experience without sacrificing flexibility or player development. The league continues to expand as a trusted platform for serious athletes. The NAL is a stepping stone for the club to become a MLS Next club.
